About the Company:
TH Recruit is collaborating with a leading house builder renowned for their excellence in project delivery. With a strong presence in the West Midlands, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their esteemed Commercial team.
Role Overview:
Joining a dynamic team, the Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing procurement, commercial, and contractual aspects of the business unit (BU). This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders including BUMT, site teams, subcontractors, external suppliers, and JV/Development partners.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and quantify materials and labour.
Ensure compliance of commercial procedures with Commercial Manual and Operating Framework.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance project viability and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain adherence to specifications, programs, and quality standards.
Process applications, payments, and resolve finance-related issues.
Assist in WIP and cash flow forecasting.
Monitor and report project costs and variances.
Prepare project budgets and manage development budgets.
Conduct site valuations and attend meetings.
Stay updated on relevant codes of practice and regulations.
Attend meetings and maintain computer-based databases.
Undertake any other duties as required by the Senior Commercial Manager.
Requirements:
Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, and Health and Safety requirements.
Industry-related business qualification.
Ability to manage internal and external clients effectively.
IT literate, experience with COINS system preferred.
