A leading multi-disciplinary development consultancy is seeking an experienced Layout Designer to join its established Design team, based in Birmingham.
The Design team delivers a wide range of projects across the UK, from large-scale urban extensions and regeneration strategies to residential, mixed-use and renewable energy schemes.
The Role
The successful candidates will prepare and oversee conceptual urban design, layout design and planning work, including feasibility studies, masterplanning, development briefs and design strategies for residential and mixed-use developments. Projects are delivered for both developers and private clients within a collaborative, design-led environment.

About You
Candidates will demonstrate:
A relevant design qualification
Experience in private practice/consultancy or commercial housebuilding
Strong visioning and masterplanning skills across a range of site scales
A commercially informed approach to residential layout design
Experience producing drawings and reports for outline, full and reserved matters applications
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary working skills
High attention to detail and self-motivation
Working knowledge of planning systems and local authority design guidance
Proficiency in CAD software (Vectorworks desirable)
