Senior Land Acquisition Manager
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Land Acquisition Manager to support this business’s ambitious growth plans. Working closely with the Land and Planning Director, the role will be a key part of the land team, helping to identify, secure and deliver land opportunities that support both short and long-term development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Secure land opportunities in line with annual targets and strategic growth plans
Work collaboratively with the wider development team to deliver forward-sold opportunities where commercially beneficial
Identify and secure high-quality sites on favourable commercial terms
Manage sites from initial identification through to acquisition, planning and site start
Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, landowners, and key external stakeholders
Monitor land market activity and identify new opportunities
Support the development and delivery of the land acquisition strategy
Negotiate land agreements and contracts to achieve favourable terms
Work with planning, design and partnerships teams to maximise development value
Contribute to raising the profile of the business within the region
Candidate Profile
Degree, RICS qualification, or relevant experience in Land, Real Estate or Town Planning
Proven track record of securing land for a residential developer
Demonstrable experience acquiring sites on favourable terms
Experience supporting and negotiating planning applications
Strong professional network within the land and property sector
Good knowledge of legislation and the UK land acquisition process
