Assistant Technical Coordinator

Join a Leading Residential Design Studio

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Technical Coordinator to join a growing architectural studio, supporting the delivery of high-quality residential developments for national and regional housebuilders, developers, and housing providers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in architecture, architectural technology, technical design, or residential construction who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will work alongside experienced Architects, Engineers and Design Teams, gaining exposure to the full technical delivery process from planning approval through to construction.

The Role

As an Assistant Technical Coordinator, you will support the technical delivery of residential developments, helping to ensure projects are coordinated efficiently, comply with regulatory requirements, and are delivered to programme.

You will liaise with internal design teams, external consultants, local authorities, and developer clients, assisting in the management and coordination of technical information throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Coordination
Assist in the coordination and delivery of residential projects from planning through to construction.
Produce technical drawing packages and construction information.
Coordinate information between architects, engineers, consultants, developers, and contractors.
Monitor project programmes and assist in managing technical deliverables to meet key deadlines.
Maintain drawing registers, technical trackers, and project documentation.
Design & Compliance
Support the discharge of planning conditions and preparation of technical approval submissions.
Assist with Building Regulations applications and statutory approvals.
Review consultant information and ensure coordination across all disciplines.
Help identify and resolve design and technical issues throughout project delivery.
Maintain awareness of current Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and residential design requirements.
Client & Consultant Liaison
Attend project meetings and record actions and technical decisions.
Build positive working relationships with developer clients, consultants, and approving authorities.
Assist in responding to technical queries from clients and site teams.
Support the management of project information flow and communication between stakeholders.
About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has excellent attention to detail, and is keen to build a career in residential development and technical project delivery.

Ideally You'll Have:
Experience within architecture, architectural technology, residential design, technical coordination, or housebuilding.
A qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction, Building Studies, or a related discipline.
Understanding of residential construction methods and technical detailing.
Knowledge of Building Regulations, planning processes, and statutory approvals.
Experience using AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively within a team environment.
